Allergies can affect everyone whether in or out of the home and can range from mildly discomforting allergy symptoms to life-threatening anaphylactic reactions. Dettol are proud to be partnering with Allergy UK to raise awareness and help protect families from germs and illness. Beginning in hospitals 80 years ago Dettol is valued as a reliable and effective solution in defeating germs whilst remaining safe for use on skin. Dettol’s primary mission is preventing the spread of illnesses caused by germs on hands, bodies, laundry and surfaces. This is why Dettol have chosen to partner with Allergy UK. Allergy UK is the leading national medical charity providing advice, information and support to people with allergies and food intolerance. With one in three being affected by allergies at some point in their lives, the charity knows first-hand how important it is to have access to dedicated allergy advice.
Dettol is proud to partner with many organisations to help provide you the best information to help protect you and your family from infection and stay healthy. Globally we have numerous relationships with local partners who help us develop our resources on family health.
The Global Hygiene Council
The Global Hygiene Council formed in 2006 to monitor infection threats, and respond by offering useful advice to the public to help to prevent the spread of infection through good hygiene. The Global Hygiene Council focuses on providing simple, practical hygiene advice for the home and when out and about, helping families to stay hygienically clean and healthy. The council members are high experts and provide fast advice at the time of emergencies.
The Council talks about the importance of good hygiene to the public, healthcare professionals, schools and other groups to help people to change hygiene behaviours for the long term. By continuing to provide practical, relevant recommendations to improve hygiene practices, the Council aims to help the public to a more hygienic future. Reckitt-Benckiser, the maker of Dettol, has provided an unrestricted grant to the Hygiene Council since its inception.
Community Practitioner and Health Visitor Association (CPHVA)
The CPHVA represents community practitioners, health visitors, registered nurses and school nurses who work in a primary or community health setting. The CPHVA is committed to advancing practice through education, research and innovation, improving the working lives of its members, and the health and well-being of the public. RB, the maker of Dettol, has partnered with CPHVA for more than a decade to produce a range of resources to promote good hygiene practice in the community.
National Day Nursery Association (NDNA)
National Day Nurseries Association (NDNA) is the national charity and membership association for children’s nurseries across the UK. NDNA support nurseries to provide good quality education and care for children. Through their member nurseries, parent website and nursery awards, they communicate with hundreds of thousands of parents about childcare and education for children under five. RB, the maker of Dettol, formed a partnership with NDNA in 2012 to produce a range of resources to promote health, hygiene and infection control in children’s early years.
