Reckitt Benckiser, the makers of Dettol, established The Dettol Foundation in 2004 to work with the local Swindon community with the aim of making a difference to families and young children.

Swindon Borough Council and local groups work with The Dettol Foundation to identify causes in need of support. Over the course of the last few years, The Dettol Foundation has awarded a number of donations to community initiatives such as the children's play area at The Great Western Hospital children's ward, which received toys and games.

Making A Difference to the Local Community

• The Dettol Foundation has been set up by Reckitt Benckiser to work with the local Swindon Community to make a difference to families and young children.
• The Foundation has been established in order to provide support, in the form of equipment and materials to a broad spread of locally based causes.
• The Foundation will work with the local council and support groups to identify worthy causes. Requests from local charities and support groups will also be considered.
• The Foundation aims to give regular donations throughout the year and hopes that this will continue for many years to come.
• The criteria for donation will include:
  • Causes that work with and help young children
  • Causes that work with and help families
  • Causes that are based in and around the Swindon area
